Mode of Action:

• Acts inside the insect’s body by disrupting growth and development processes, leading to death.

• Mimics juvenile hormone and causes molting failure.

• Unlike organophosphates, pyrethroids, and carbamates, it introduces a new concept of action by preventing egg hatching of whiteflies and blocking nymph development, which gradually reduces pest populations.

Recommendations:

• Apply at the early stages of infestation and at the beginning of egg-laying on plants.

• Compatible with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs.

• Safe for beneficial insects, natural enemies, and bees.

Target Pests:

• Highly effective against whiteflies, aphids, and scale insects.

Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI):

• Short safety period, can be applied up to 10 days before harvest.

Additional Advantages:

• Can be tank-mixed with light mineral oils (summer oils) to enhance control of scale insects in citrus.

• Compatible with most pesticides (except alkaline products); a compatibility test is recommended before mixing.
